PRESENTATION

This is a interdisciplinary workshop of the DANCE (Dinámica, Atractores y Nolinealidad: Caos y Estabilidad) Spanish network.

Dynamical systems and non smoothness

Basically, during this meeting, we will study how the lack of smoothness affects the behavior of dynamical systems and will present and develope new techniques and methods that should be used for this analysis. From the existence, uniqueness and number of limit cycles and other classic problems involving periodicity (for instance, center problem por planar piecewise systems) to the characterizacion of new degeneracies and bifurcations (for instance, those related to the switching manifolds), this is a wide area that must be studied in detail, not only for its doubtless theoretical interest but also for the great number of applications.
